Dear Lady at Biscuitville,
I don’t know you or anything about you. I don’t have any idea what your name is. All I know is that you took my $5.16 and handed me my receipt. We interacted for 20 seconds. But you made my day.
You exuded kindness and were genuine when you asked me how I was. When you saw that I was wearing an Elon Tour Guide polo, you asked if I was heading to work. I really appreciate it.
Today has been a good day, and your sweetness furthered that. Your smile made me smile.
I imagine that had today been not-so-good, you would have brightened it in a big way.
You’ll probably never read this, but I hope you know that you are the face of Jesus.
Your job probably doesn’t bring you a lot of glory. But your job is insanely important because you are the Lord’s hands and feet and you are reaching people exactly where they are…which happens to be at a little restaurant buying coffee and a biscuit for breakfast.
Your warmth and kindness are truly inspirational. Keep on keepin’ on. Because you rock.
Sincerely, Blair

PS- My breakfast was great 🙂

I just love this simple but wonderful reminder that the Lord calls us to love, no matter how small the gesture is, we can still show love. This is powerfully encouraging to me after just reading some critical, negative things. Sadly, I also get critical & negative but I WANT to be the biscuit lady & show kindness! Love & prayers, in Jesus, Cynthia

Thanks for your message, Cynthia. I agree. No matter where we are, we are always called to love. Such a simple concept yet so difficult to achieve. The Biscuitville lady has it.
