Frustrated But Hopeful | April: Rooted

May 3, 2017 by Blair Lamb Filed Under: Rooted Series

April Rooted | Blairblogs.com

If you watched Why 2016 Was Tough + My Focus Word For 2017, you know that last year was challenging for me personally, and I am focused on becoming more rooted in 2017. (If you didn’t watch that video, this post may not make a lot of sense!) Also related: Happy Tears, Friend Dates, + Volunteering | January: Rooted, Walking Through Grief + Small Steps Forward | February: Rooted, and Travel + Finding Peace | March: Rooted.

April was a challenging month for me, with several days of feeling totally exhausted with this “rooted” process and wanting to throw in the towel. I’m hopeful and trying to remain optimistic, but it has not been easy! If you’re interested in hearing more, you can watch my April: Rooted video below or on YouTube here. (Make sure to subscribe–my subscribers get early access to my videos!)

// How was your April? Are you making any progress on your 2017 word for the year or New Year’s resolution?

    Blair,

I don’t often watch your YouTube videos (I’m not a huge vlogging person, sorry!) but I am SO glad I watched this one! I have felt exactly the same since getting married, and we are moving once again to an even smaller town. This move will be even harder since we’re moving to an entirely-civilian area and my husband and I are an active duty military family. Thank you for being vulnerable and honest in your video. It inspired me to be optimistic with our upcoming move, and to attempt to plant roots in our new town as hard as it may be. I look forward to your May “Rooted” video to see how things are going!

    Blessings,
    Bailey @ Becoming Bailey

I never watch YouTube videos or vlogs, but something led me to take the time to watch you just now. I want to let you know that someday you will find your tribe! I’ve had close friends through the years but in just the past 18 months at 40 something I have found my tribe. That great group of women that you just “click” with, that no matter what will support you, that will be by your side any time of day or night, thru thick & thin, no questions asked. Now, I know you are a 20 something & I’m not saying that it will take you 20 years. I know that someone with your positivity & happiness & genuine kindness will find friends, what I’m saying is that you don’t need to force it. The Lord will bring the people you need in to your life when you need them. Prayers & good thoughts to you!

Hey, I’m Blair!
