Can you believe it? This is my 100th Blair Blogs post! And I’m grateful, so grateful, for readers like you and super supportive friends and family! I’m trying to get better about counting my blessings and not my complaints. Life is beautiful, so let’s celebrate it, ya know?

- The feeling I get when I’m driving the speed limit and a police officer passes me…like I’m beating the system…when I’m really obeying the system…

- The sound of the laundry machine filling up with water and the smell when I throw the detergent in
- An empty e-mail inbox
- Tanisha Gets Married
- Really extremely very sweet sweet tea
- Hot, long showers and baths
- Looking at the clock at 12:09
- The number 9
- Jeans that fit really well
- A fresh bouquet of gerber daisies
- New pens and pencils
- My red Elon sweatshirt
- The feeling of waking up before my alarm sounds
- Giggling to myself as I read Raising Colorado
- Chicken nuggets
- Listening to John’s constant Buddy the Elf impressions
- Getting chills when a great song is sung in church
- Changing into leggings and a t-shirt after a long day in uncomfortable clothes (which is everything except leggings and a t-shirt)
- When my hair isn’t a lion’s mane and is somewhat manageable
- Sleeping with the windows open
- Having a fantastic conversation with a complete stranger
- Vests. Vests all Fall and Winter long.
- Scarves. Scarves all Fall and Winter long.
- Making a meal on the stovetop or oven and not in the microwave
- Scalding hot coffee
- The Baltimore Ravens
- Things that are color coded, organized, and labeled
- People who wear glasses (confession: sometimes I wish I didn’t have 20/20 because I think glasses are so cute)
- Walking behind someone who smells great (you know you love it too)
- Drinking out of styrofoam cups
- The color navy blue
- Babies. I love all the babies.
- Snuggling on the couch with my favorite sweatshirt blanket
- All the silver bracelets my mama has gifted me
- Kisses on my forehead
- Cutting a fresh lemon wedge and squeezing it into sparkling water
- Reading a Bible verse at the perfect time
- Walking around outside when it’s cold but staying warm
- Sigma Kappa sistas bound by a mystic bond
- Having a huge family on one side and a small one on the other
- The feeling of accomplishment when learning to navigate a new city
- When my lips aren’t chapped
- Being a full-fledged Fowler girl (cocktail napkins, candles, and rearranged furniture 24/7)
- Not jumping on the fashion train until a few months late and then caving
- Belly laughs
- Looking out at a view where nothing man-made is visible (mountains, the beach…)
- Tiny adorable fluffy puppies
- The way that it feels to lay down on the couch when you know you can
- The word “aqua”
- My cowboy boots
- Baked potatoes with cheddar cheese and sour cream, salt and pepper on top
- Vacuum lines on the carpet
- Getting up early and feeling awake and refreshed
- The wonderful smell of coffee brewing in the AM
- When my freckles emerge and my hair gets lighter as the temperature goes up
- Ponytails.
- When people have witty bumper stickers on their cars
- Black and white photography
- Colonial life (weird I know, I’ve always been interested)
- Things that are monogrammed
- Handwritten letters sent via snail mail
- The blessing it has been to grow up with both sets of grandparents
- The months August and September
- The movie Matilda and the best montage song of all time, “Send Me on My Way” by Rusted Root
- The way a new book cracks when you open it for the first time
- Sitting by a sunshine-filled window in the Winter and warming up
- Interesting handwriting
- The Office, New Girl, and Modern Family…also Here Comes Honey Boo Boo
- Eating crabs on the deck in the summertime
- The mourning period that follows finishing a great book
- When people try to tell a funny story and can’t finish through their own laughter
- Days when I don’t need to dress up for anything or anyone
- Fonts that aren’t lame
- Grilled pineapple in the summertime
- Being in a place other than North Carolina and seeing people with Elon clothing, bumper stickers, or miscellaneous gear
- YOU! For reading this
- Memorizing the route to somewhere and not having to use directions
- A cappella music
- Milk foam in a latté (usually with a pump of vanilla or caramel)
- When my laptop and/or phone is fully charged
- Williamsburg, Virginia
- Singing loudly to music in the car, then getting out and acting like nothing happened
- The way it feels to receive a hug from a really good hugger
- The feeling of wearing flip-flops for the first time of the summer
- People who make good eye contact when shaking your hand
- Getting an entire row to myself on an airplane
- Days when people don’t talk about belly buttons
- The sound of high heels on a hardwood floor
- Maps. I love maps. They’re really cool, right?
- Gifts that are wrapped well with huge bows and cute tags
- Extensive to-do lists where I sometimes add to-dos after they’re already done just to cross them off…unashamed
- Being one of the last to leave IV on Tuesday nights
- Real ice cream instead of frozen yogurt
- When Christmas lights melt tiny holes through the snow
- Cooking and baking and dancing all at once (I’m a multi-tasker)
- Harry and David pears
- Fridays in the tour guide office
- Creating, writing, and generally expressing myself on this lovely little blog!
