Think of three things that have bothered you today. Easy, right? How about three things you’re thankful for today? Hmm…having trouble? You’re not alone. It’s hard to be thankful…but it’s necessary.
I’ve recently picked up a book that I purchased a while back, A Thousand Gifts by Ann Voskamp. Voskamp speaks to the harsh reality that we don’t really know how to give thanks, all the time…in all circumstances.
If you followed my study abroad journey you know it was both scary and fairy-talesque at the same time, that at times I was soaking up the moment, and other times I was wishin’ for the states.
But the single most important thing? To give thanks for the opportunity.

I put together this video montage on the long flight home from Spain and shared it with family and close friends in a little “viewing party” a few days after landing on U.S. soil.
I’m now making it public and available to my readers because thankfulness is contagious…thankfulness for that which is beautiful and that which is terrible…because every experience deserves thanks.
