My husband and I are big iced tea people. I always have some in our refrigerator and we drink it so fast that I end up making a pitcher three or four times a week! Sometimes we drink plain ‘ol black tea, but other times we get fancy and try different flavor combinations. Today, I’m sharing three super easy and very delicious iced tea recipes that fall into the “fun and fancy” category!
For all three recipes, I’m including instructions for making a single serving of iced tea as well as an entire pitcher. That way, if you work at an office or are otherwise out of the house, you can brew just enough for yourself, and when you’re at home, you can make a big pitcher to sip on all week for as long as it lasts! 😉 One of my favorite afternoon pick-me-ups is a big glass of cold iced tea to sip on while I work. It’s my way to escape and relax while still remaining on-task!
The Tea I’m Using
Lipton’s been a long-time staple in my life–there were always a few boxes of Lipton tea in my cupboard when I was growing up, and there are always a few boxes of it in my own pantry now. I have so many old favorites, but Lipton recently came out with new black and herbal tea varieties, all of which are unique and bold flavor combinations. After looking through all the new flavors, which include combinations like Peach Mango, Purple Acai Blueberry, and Cranberry Pomegranate, I settled on the three pictured above: Orange Passionfruit Jasmine Green Tea, Irresistible Lady Lipton Black Tea with Bergamot and Citrus, and Berry Hibiscus Herbal Tea (you can check out all the flavors here). Now, let’s get to the recipes!
Berry Hibiscus Tea with Blueberry and Lemon
This tea is absolutely refreshing and delicious. (In fact, I think it’s my favorite of the three recipes I’m sharing today!) Oh, and it smells incredible while it’s brewing! It’s especially good with a squeeze of lemon and some frozen blueberries–I break up the blueberries with a straw at the bottom of my cup as I drink, creating delicious little nibs of cold, sweet blueberry to complement my glass of tea. The tea has some surprising cinnamon notes which blend beautifully with the fruit and floral base. It’s so lovely!
